My baby crawled around inside a playpen, while I was working 12-hour shifts, sanding the floor and removing wallpaper. Ha! We were getting close to completing, however it was still a long way off. To complete this task, I was prepared to shell out a substantial amount of money and time shopping for my dream home. In order to keep my budget sound, I travelled with my 3 boys looking for bargains at estate sales. We had a weekly schedule which consisted of spending the week from Friday through Saturday at estate sales and garage sales buying old and new things. The rest of the week working on painting and sanding the driveway. The furniture looked like this... which is where I got my passion for restoring. Even though our home had been decorated, I was unable to put down. There was a spot at the local markets where I would sell my pieces. In the end, I had so many pieces I didn't think of a solution and my storage space was a mess. Open houses were held in my home where one 000 visitors would pass through during a weekend. the visitors were able to purchase items on the first floor. Growing Days was created in this home. Apart from my successful business, I also grew our family. The balance between work and family was crucial for me. I wanted to balance being a mother and also a successful business owner. Growing Days seemed like the ideal match. Nora came into our lives in 2013 and became our fourth baby. This was an excellent direction for my business, however I was also in need of a vacation. I decided to quit doing work on my furniture and stay home with the kids. It was exactly what I needed. It rang once more after some time. The people who called me were needing help with decorating their homes and interior renovations. These were mostly customers who visited my house for furniture. Then I slowly took on clients according to my own pace. Then I was able to have many customers and was operating as a home improvement business. When you first spoke to me about my home renovation business I laughed. In the present, as I reflect on the situation I am laughing.
