Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th of November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, (presently Onesti(born November 12, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, now One Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast to receive a score of a perfect of 10 points in the Olympic competition. Bela Karolyi later Romanian Gymnastics Coach, came across Comaneci at just seven years old. The first time she competed at the junior national championships in 1969 and finished 13th. She won the competition in 1970. In her 1972 first international meet in an Olympic-style junior preolympic competition for nations in the Communist bloc, she took home three gold medals. And in 1973 and 1975, she won awarded the All-around Junior Champion. The athlete won four golds and one silver in her senior debut international competition which took place in the year 1975. It was the first time she participated as an adult. She was the first female to ever successfully complete the backwards double salto after dismounting from an unbalanced parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. She began her career as an entertainment professional in her teens, when she performed as the figure skating duo of their twin sister Nina Wayne for the travelling show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol ventured into the world of entertainment during her teenage years. Early on she was a figure skater in traveling shows Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. The shows featured theatrical ice-skating performances.
