Richard B. Cheney, prominent public servant and businessman, is the vice-president. Cheney is a well-known figure in the Washington political landscape was a former president under a variety of U.S. presidents George W. Bush is the fourth president and will be an elected representative. Bush chose Cheney as his vice presidential candidate in July 2000 citing Cheney's knowledge and expertise. Dick Cheney served as the chief of staff to a president. He also served as an elected member of Congress as well as the secretary of defense. Cheney is a true gentleman and has earned the respect of all Republicans and Democrats. Cheney says the position he will play within the administration as one of an honest but professional adviser to Bush. Cheney was the first to accept the Republican Vice-Presidential nominating in 2007 said he was looking forward to serving under a president that is able to work across party lines and cooperate with political adversaries with goodwill and a common goal. Richard Bruce Cheney is the son Richard Herbert Cheney of the late Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. He was born on the 30th of January 1941, within Lincoln Nebraska. At the age of 13, Richard Bruce moved with his parents from Nebraska to Casper (in Wyoming, the State of Wyoming) in Wyoming, where his father was Director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's soil conservation district.
